KFC Hummingbird Feeders

 

Yes, I admit it - I LOVE KFC!... after seeing the DIY hummingbird feeder on YouTube by veneto53, I just had to make some... and since the KFC sides lids were already red... used my trusty Big Bite Cropadile and a pair of scissors to punch and cut holes and Viola!... 

Note: make sure to use thicker plastic drink bottle (water bottles are too flimsy) so that it can withstand the liquid pressure when you invert it... 

Now we just have to wait for the hummingbirds to come...

We just finished studying the Mystery of History vol. 1... Wanted to share the timeline we did... Hope you get inspired...

Because we use a regular science project board, there's no room to space out the events/people... so this is pretty much just chronological right now... Plan to expand it to 2 boards someday to show the passage of time better...

We made all the figures/events in the book and as much as I could I used the "Plan A figures (making your own)" on page xlix of the book...

MOH1 Wall of Fame on Science Project Board- did not have any dinosaur  stickers so put our dinosaur collection on parade instead.

Nebuchadnezzar II -glued goose feathers DD collected at a park a few years ago and never had the heart to throw out.  Micah - just cut up an old pair of torn jeans (did the same for Amos, the fig farmer.)
